At AMW Audit we recognise the end product, the Audit Report, is not exciting, and it is very consistent from firm to firm. Therefore, we prioritise the audit journey. Our aim is to reach the audit’s conclusion, ensuring a clean (unqualified) audit report while minimising disruption to your dedicated staff. We achieve this with following methods:

Our experience has shown that many bookkeepers, financial controllers, business managers and accountants are apprehensive about their audit visit. Some because their own experiences have been difficult, with the audit firm sending out a new team every year and having to field the same questions year after year. Audit Division Created
1990
Don Munro and Greg Wyllie created the audit division of Munro’s CPA and named it M&W Chartered Accountants.

2000
M&W Chartered Accountants breaks away from Munro’s CPA and becomes Munro & Wyllie
Anderson, Munro & Wyllie
2004
Greg Wyllie retires and sells Munro & Wyllie to Graham Anderson, forming Anderson, Munro & Wyllie.
Buy Out Graham Anderson
2007
Billy-Joe and Chris McLaughlin buy out Graham Anderson.
McLaughlin Retires
2014
Don Munro and Greg Wyllie created the audit division of Munro’s CPA and named it M&W Chartered Accountants.
Stake in Brian Tucker Audit
2018
Anderson Munro & Wyllie acquire a 100% stake in Brian Tucker Audit, a well respected specialist in Aboriginal art centres across Australia.
Audit Division of Bottrell
2019
Anderson Munro & Wyllie acquire the audit division of Bottrell Business Services, a prominent firm in Newcastle NSW.
Stake in Intentus
2020
Anderson Munro & Wyllie acquire a 100% stake in Intentus Chartered Accountants in regional NSW.
Today’s AMW Audit
2020
Anderson Munro & Wyllie re-brands to AMW Audit and to incorporate all entities AMW Audit Group.
Munro’s CPA Accounting firm was created with the vision to service rural and urban businesses.
In 1990, M&W Chartered Accountants was created as an audit division of Munro’s CPA
M&W Chartered Accountants breaks away from Munro’s CPA and becomes Munro & Wyllie.
2004: Munro & Wyllie is sold becoming Anderson, Munro & Willie (AMW)
2007-2014: Anderson is bought out by two new partners
2018-2023: AMW acquire Brian Tucker, the audit division of Bottrell Services, Intentus Chartered Accountants, LHS Accountants, Lowrys Accountants, WFD and Audit Only
AMW Re-brands to AMW Audit and incorporates all entities as AMW Audit Group
